Maduro: If Venezuela is attacked, we will move to the stage of armed struggle

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has commented on a possible U.S. military intervention in his country, APA reports.

During a meeting with soldiers in the capital Caracas, Maduro also responded to U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat about shooting down aircraft.

“At present, we are in the stage of unarmed struggle. This is a political, communicational, and organizational phase. If Venezuela is attacked, we will move to the stage of armed struggle. We are a peace-loving yet fighting people. No one can enslave us, neither today nor in the future. The United States must abandon its plans for a violent regime change in Venezuela. If an attack occurs, our people will enter the stage of armed struggle in a planned and organized way—nationally, locally, and regionally,” Maduro stated.
