Without the participation of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), any potential agreement between the United States and Iran would amount to nothing more than the illusion of a deal, said agency’s Director General, Rafael Grossi.
“If an agreement is reached, the IAEA must be involved and conduct verification. Otherwise, it will not be a real agreement, but an illusion of one. Inspectors must be present to verify compliance with the commitments made,” Grossi told journalists.
