An agreement has been reached between Ukraine and the US on mineral resources, not to take into account American aid provided before the document was signed, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal posted on his Telegram channel, APA reports.
According to Shmyhal, he discussed this issue with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent within the framework of the 2025 Spring Meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
The Prime Minister noted that legal teams are working on the agreement and significant progress has already been made:
"The main thing is that we have clarified our red lines. The agreement must comply with European obligations and not contradict the Constitution and legislation of Ukraine. The document must be ratified by the parliament. According to the agreement reached, the aid provided before the document was signed will not be included in the document."
