The Acting President of Brazil, Vice President Geraldo Alckmin, has signed an order on the holding of the 30th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30) in this country and the related matters, APA reports.
According to the document, the Presidency of COP30 has been established, and an Organizing Committee has been created for coordinating the preparation process.
It has been determined that the President of COP30 directly leads the process of achieving consensus among participant countries on climate finance issues.
Recall that the responsibilities of the President of COP30 have been entrusted to Brazil's Minister of Climate, Energy, and the Environment, Andre Correa Du Lago.
