Baku-APA. The trial of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was postponed to Oct. 30 after a session on Saturday, APA reports quoting Xinhua

Mubarak, his two sons, former Interior Minister Habib el-Adli and six of his aides appeared in court Saturday.

The trial session witnessed the testimony of the chairman of Egypt’s ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, Hussein Tantawi.

Tantawi, who used to serve as the defense minister in the Mubarak government, gave his testimony behind closed doors with a ban on media covering issued by the presiding judge Ahmed Refaat.

The Cairo Criminal Court was supposed to respectively summon Tantawi on Sept. 11, and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Sami Anan on Sept. 12. But the hearings were postponed to Sept. 24 and Sept. 25 due to the country’s security situation after protestors stormed the Israeli embassy.

Mubarak, who was forced to resign on Feb. 11 due to mass protests against his decades-long ruling, has appeared in court for several trial sessions since August. The ousted president was charged with ordering to kill protestors and corruption.
