Western Azerbaijan community sends letter to Charles Michel

Western Azerbaijan community has sent a letter to the President of the European Union Council Charles Michel, the community told APA.

In the letter, the European Union was requested to support the peaceful, safe and dignified return of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia to their homeland, and the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) to implement appropriate confidence-building measures in the field of ensuring the rights of Azerbaijanis expelled from this country.

In the letter, while welcoming the efforts of the European Union to promote the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, it was emphasized that the return of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia is a necessary condition for the establishment of lasting peace.
