A 14-year-old boy became the first victim of severe weather in Istanbul on Wednesday, APA reports citing Haberturk.
According to the Haberturk television channel, he died from an electric shock in a flooded area in the Fatih district.
It was previously reported that over 200 mm of precipitation per square meter fell in Istanbul on October 14, which has been battered by heavy rain and strong winds for the second day running.
As TRT Haber reported, citing local meteorologists, the rainfall was the highest since 1985.
