An Azerbaijan-Laos investment and business forum was held in Baku, organized by the Ministry of Economy and the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI), APA reports.
The purpose of organizing the event was to develop economic and trade relations between Azerbaijan and Laos, promote mutual investments, and expand cooperation between business circles.
Along with officials from Azerbaijan and Laos, representatives of companies operating in tourism, construction, consulting, logistics, finance, industrial engineering and other sectors participated in the forum.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Economy Anar Akhundov emphasized the importance of expanding economic relations between the two countries, promoting mutual investments, and strengthening direct contacts between business circles. He noted that the business forum is an important platform for identifying cooperation opportunities between businesspeople and establishing new partnerships.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce of Laos Manothong Vongsay said in his speech that his country is interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in the fields of trade and investment. It was stated that in this regard, expanding ties between entrepreneurs, studying mutual economic opportunities, and promoting joint initiatives are important.
Executive Vice President of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Thanongsinh Kanlagna emphasized that strengthening relations between the business communities of the two countries and organizing such events for this purpose would create new opportunities for cooperation.
Within the framework of the forum, presentations were held on the investment environment in Azerbaijan and Laos, priority sectors of the economy, and existing opportunities for entrepreneurs. B2B meetings were also organized between businesspeople.
The Lao delegation also familiarized itself with the G2B and B2B services provided to entrepreneurs at the Baku SME House.
