“A group of MPs from Lithuania visited the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and continued the inappropriate practice of officials from European Union countries, meeting with the EU mission in Armenia, looking at Azerbaijan through binoculars,” was said in the Statement of the Western Azerbaijan Community, APA reports.
The statement noted that Lithuania continues its policy of hostility towards Azerbaijan at all levels:
"Probably, Lithuanian MPs are aware of the audio recording released a few years ago that Lithuanian diplomats supported Armenia on religious grounds and not Azerbaijan, whose territories were occupied in the past conflict.
We remind the Lithuanian MPs that most of the areas they visited are villages where Azerbaijanis were deported. Lithuanian MPs with a crusader mentality, instead of looking for adventure in the South Caucasus and acting as Don Quixote, they should go and protect the rights of the oppressed ethnic minority in their country," was noted in the Statement.
