"It has been reported that the representatives of the local self-government bodies of several regions of France, including the city of Paris, will attempt to commit provocation on the conventional border zone with Armenia in the direction of the Lachin district of Azerbaijan on August 30, 2023,” Western Azerbaijan Community told APA.
The Community noted that the aim of this adventure organized by elements like the radical racist, Azerbaijanophobic Anne Hidalgo and a radical representative of the French Armenian community Jeanne Barseghian, was allegedly to provide the "humanitarian aid" to the Armenians living in the Garabagh region of Azerbaijan."
It should be emphasized that these people and the French government, which is the real organizer of this provocation, are not interested in humanitarian issues at all. If the aforementioned circles were interested in human fate, they would have protested against Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijani territories, ethnic cleansing of more than one million Azerbaijanis, killing of more than 20,000 civilian Azerbaijanis, and razing of 900 Azerbaijani settlements to the ground.
By taking this insidious step, France aims to further aggravate the situation in the region, to hinder the re-integration of Armenians living in the Garabagh region of Azerbaijan and the establishment of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The West Azerbaijani Community calls on France to refrain from this cheap provocation, not to hinder the establishment of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and to support the return of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia to their homes.
