Western Azerbaijan Community has condemned Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Baerbock’s statement regarding the developments around Lachin road, Community told APA.
The Community’s statement reads:
“German Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock, along with her Belgian and Canadian counterparts, is either insufficiently informed about the essence of the problem or is influenced by certain Islamophobic and Azerbaijanophobic Western media.
The fact that a country like Germany lacks its own position on the past conflict and instead refers to the positions of others raises many questions.
Maybe that is why, Germany, despite constant talks about international law, the rule of law, and human rights, didn't call on Armenia to end the occupation of Azerbaijani territories, nor addressed the issue of ensuring the rights and return of Azerbaijanis deported from Armenia.
We call on the German minister not to involve her country in a dangerous scenario of geopolitical competition that others seek to create in the South Caucasus region.”
