Western Azerbaijan Community: Armenia accusing Azerbaijan of ethnic cleansing is disgusting

The Western Azerbaijan Community issued a statement regarding the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan’s remarks, the Community told APA.

The statement said:

"The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan made remarks regarding Azerbaijan allegedly not implementing provision of the Trilateral Declaration on the return of refugees and IDPs and accused Azerbaijan of intending ethnic cleansing against Armenians at the meeting of the government held on August 24, 2023.

First of all, let’s note that Armenia, which has expelled all Azerbaijanis from its territory and once occupied the territories of Azerbaijan, pursuing a disgraced mono-ethnic policy, accusing Azerbaijan of ethnic cleansing is disgusting. Armenia does not have any moral right to talk about humanitarian issues and human rights.

We demand Armenian government end its policy against international law, respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan in deed, stop sabotaging the efforts of the Azerbaijani government to reintegrate Armenians living in the Garabagh region, and create conditions for Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia to return to their homes safely and with dignity."
