Community: We put the genocides committed by Armenians against our people in the last 200 years on the table with facts

In 1918-1920 Armenians committed hundreds of tragedies as Khojaly in various regions of Azerbaijan, as well as Irevan, Zangazur, said Chairman of the Board of the Western Azerbaijan Community Aziz Alakbarov, APA reports.

“We have sufficient facts that Armenians killed populations in hundreds of villages with the same atrocity, almost razed to ground villages. Unfortunately, we could not learn enough about them in the Soviet era. Today, the Western Azerbaijan Community has taken all these issues upon itself, and we are putting all the facts and documents on the table.

“We usually talk about ethnic cleansing and deportations in 1948-1953, 1987-1991, but between the years of 1953-1987 ethnic cleansing took place in Western Azerbaijan, and they expelled our compatriots from their historical lands. Armenians have completed this policy which they have been implemented for 200 years during the last deportation and 29.8 thousand square kilometers of historical Azerbaijan lands were completely cleared of our compatriots and Armenianized,” he stated.
