"Today, no one doubts that historical justice will definitely find its place and our Western Azerbaijani compatriots will return to their ancestral lands," Chairman of the Western Azerbaijan Community, MP Aziz Alakbarov said this at the plenary session of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) today, APA reports.
MP underlined that he particularly supports the increase in defense and national security spending in the 2025 state budget: "Because not only the 200-year historical experience, not only the lessons of the last 30 years and the last 4 years after the 44-day war, but even all the actions of the Armenian leadership in recent months and days prove that they, as a society and a state, have never given up their territorial claims against the countries of the region and are not giving up. Negotiations on a peace agreement are necessary to gain time to arm themselves and prepare for the next war. Therefore, the return of our Western Azerbaijani compatriots to their ancestral homeland is also due to the further strengthening of the Azerbaijani state and the Azerbaijani army."
