Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister: It is needed to propose protection of Blue Mosque in Yerevan by UNESCO

"Armenians destroyed the historical roots of Yerevan city center under the name of urban planning," said Deputy Minister of Culture Seadet Yusifova during his speech at the public hearing on "Western Azerbaijan: our historical and cultural heritage subjected to genocide. Revival of the historical and cultural heritage of Western Azerbaijan" held at Milli Majlis, APA reports.

"It is for these and similar reasons that Armenians are responsible before international law. The presentation of the Blue Mosque, the largest mosque in the Caucasus, as a Persian mosque is a clear example of Armenian falsification of history. From this point of view, it is necessary to raise the issue of the mosque at the level of UNESCO, to propose the protection of the mosque by UNESCO," she added.
