Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch act as political tools in hands of certain circles - Western Azerbaijan Community:

"As COP29 approaches, the pressure and attacks of anti-Azerbaijani forces against our country are intensifying. Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch organizations are abusing Azerbaijan's hosting of COP29 and making slander and baseless demands against our country in their statement issued this morning," the Western Azerbaijan Community said in statement, APA reports.

"The release of these statements on the same day indicates once again that the increasing attacks against Azerbaijan in recent weeks are controlled by a single center that controls both organizations. These politically motivated attacks by the forces that do not accept Azerbaijan's restoration of its sovereignty are an attempt to cast a shadow on the successes of our country in the international arena and discredit our country.

The fact that the appeal sent by our community to Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch in August of last year regarding the protection of the rights of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia remained unanswered shows how far these organizations are from the principles of human rights. All this proves that Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch act as a political tool in the hands of certain circles and conduct a policy of discrimination against Azerbaijan on ethnic and religious grounds.

We strongly condemn Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch's anti-Azerbaijani stance, anti-human rights behavior and racial discrimination policies and call on them to stop these wrong actions," the statement underlined.
