Number of tourists, who came to Azerbaijan last month has been unveiled, the State Tourism Agency told APA.
In August, 171 960 foreigners visited Azerbaijan.
This is 123% more in comparison to the relevant period of the previous year. Thus, in August of the previous year, 77 119 foreign tourists came to the country.
In January-August of this year, 1,004,146 foreigners came to the country. In comparison to the relevant period of the previous year, a 127 percent increase was recorded. Thus, in the first 8 months of 2021, 442,592 foreign tourists visited the country.
The most tourists came from Russia (43,010), Turkiye (24,159), Saudi Arabia (22,774), Iran (14,399), and Georgia (7,585).
