The State Tourism Agency announced the number of foreigners arriving in Azerbaijan last month, APA reports citing the agency.
According to the information, 137,491 foreigners arrived in the country in May, which is 166 percent more compared to the corresponding period last year. Thus, in May 2021, 51,637 foreigners visited the country.
In January-May this year, the number of foreigners visiting the country was 468,170, which is 118 percent more than in the same period last year. In January-April 2021, 214,628 foreigners entered Azerbaijan.
Turkiye (32,726), Russia (28,824), Iran (16,139), Saudi Arabia (8,671), and Georgia (6,314) rank the top five countries with the highest number of foreigners.
