Flydubai launches flight to Sana

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. flydubai, Dubaiâ€™s innovative low-cost airline, has announced Sanaâ€™a, the capital of the Republic of Yemen as the latest addition to its expanding route network.

Flights to Yemen will commence on 22 April 2012 , with four weekly flights to Sanaâ€™a. The nation’s capital and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, Sana’a is Yemenâ€™s largest city, political and administrative centre and home to 30 percent of the countryâ€™s industrial establishments.

Commenting on the new route announcement, flydubaiâ€™s CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, said: â€œWe are delighted to add Yemen to our expanding Middle East network and are deeply grateful to the Yemeni authorities for their support. flydubaiâ€™s low-cost direct connection will provide travellers with an easy link to Sanaâ€™a, in turn driving tourism and investment to this historically-rich and culturally-vibrant city.â€

One way fares from Dubai to Sanaâ€™a start at AED 570 ($155) and fares from Sanaâ€™a to Dubai start at AED 605 ($165).

Sana’a is Yemenâ€™s largest city, political and administrative centre and home to 30 percent of the countryâ€™s industrial establishments.
