Info tour to regions organized for diplomats of embassies accredited in Azerbaijan – PHOTOSESSION
The tourism department of the ministry told APA that excursions were also organized for the region of Ismayilli and town of Shaki, excursion was also organized to Lahij settlement of Ismayilli. The guests familiarized themselves with the pottery, carpet weaving shop, Lahij Museum of History and Ethnography.
First deputy head of Ismayilli region executive power Rafael Ahmadov welcomed the guests at Heydar Aliyev Center. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ismatulla Irgashev signed the memory book of the center.
The participants of the info tour also visited Shaki. They first visited the ancient Alban temple in Kish village. Following this, the guests familiarized themselves with the Palace of Shaki Khans. Head of Shaki executive power Elkhan Usubov greeted the guests at the Palace of Shaki Khans and gave them gifts. The diplomats also visited Yukhari Karvansara inn complex dating back to the 18-19th centuries, went sightseeing.
During the excursion to Gabala Museum of History and Ethnography the guests familiarized themselves with historical and scientific exhibits covering 2500-year history of Gabala and Azerbaijan, archeological, ethnographic and numismatic materials, ancient manuscripts and printed books. On the last day of the info tour the guests participated in the presentation ceremony of the tourism potential of Azerbaijan. The diplomats expressed satisfaction with the tour.
Following the presentation ceremony, City Tour was organized in Gabala, the guests went an on excursion to BELTMANN piano factory in Gabala, which was founded by Johan Beltmann in 1901 in Deventer, the Netherlands, and Gabala Canning Plant, the biggest fruit processing plant in the South Caucasus.
The main aim of the info tour was to offer opportunities for the diplomats of the embassies accredited in Azerbaijan to know better the tourism potential of the region, achieve cooperation in tourism among the countries participating in the tour.
