Minister Abulfaz Garayev: â€œNumber of tourists in Azerbaijan will exceed 2 mln, this yearâ€

According to him, number of tourists rose 14% compared to a year earlier. He noted that, 46 tourism objects are being constructed, 22 â€“ have been constructed, during this year. Our tourism objects could receive 6,000 tourists in 2011. But, now, this number is 31,000 and 11,000 of this are for Baku.

â€œNumber of persons left for abroad as tourists made 35,000 this year, while it was 55,000 last year. This indicated that, tourism objects I Azerbaijan have developedâ€.

He also noted that, 1 mln 900,000 persons had come to Azerbaijan this year, and 1 mln 500,000 of them were tourists.
