Delivering a keynote speech, Irfan Siddiq noted that conducting such an exhibition in Azerbaijan for the first time is a good example of cooperation between the two countries in the field of education. He said the Azerbaijani students take part in various educational programs of the UK: “More than 100 Azerbaijani students studied in various universities of the UK last year. Each student is an ambassador of his/her country and we are ready to provide necessary support to them. We would like more students to study in the UK universities. Education is developing rapidly all over the world. The future of any country depends on the conditions for young people and their education. We believe that the cooperation between universities of Azerbaijan and the UK, joint activity with the Ministry of Education will make a significant contribution to the development of education and educated youth in both countries.”
Deputy Education Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said the British Council, that will mark its 20th anniversary soon, played an important role in the establishment of relations between the two countries: “The British universities are well known in Azerbaijan, as worldwide. We invite the British partners to cooperate by putting forward new initiatives. I consider that it is time for the UK and Azerbaijani universities to establish new mutual cooperation. We will spare no efforts to support such initiatives.”
