Azerbaijanâ€™s Minister of Emergency Situations met with a delegation headed by Deputy Interior Minister of Georgia

Kemaleddin Heydarov brought to attention that the good-neighborly and friendly relations between the two countries strengthened year by year.

Touching upon the prospects of cooperation between relevant government agencies of Azerbaijan and Georgia the minister spoke about the work done in the country in the field of emergency management, informed about the activities of departments within the structure of the ministry.

V. Gomelauri, in turn, stressed the importance of further development of cooperation between relevant government agencies of Azerbaijan and Georgia.

The sides exchanged views on the prevention of possible emergencies and disaster, noted the importance of the exchange of experience and joint exercises, seminars with the participation of specialists of the two countries.

The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.

Then the guests got acquainted with the activities of the Centre for Crisis Management of Emergency Situations, the Multimedia Center of the public relations, medical centers, as well as civil defense forces and rescue services at particular risk.

Guests, who visited the Academy of MES, provided detailed information on the activities of this institution.
