"We have not received a positive response from the other side despite talks being held with the Russian peacekeeping command. Representatives and volunteers of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society have been here for a week already,” Vice President of Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society Gafar Asgarzada told APA.
He said that the leadership of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society held relevant talks with the command of Russian peacekeepers temporarily deployed on the territory of Azerbaijan: "We have not yet received a positive response from the other side. We’re waiting for their response for now. In case of a positive response, we will immediately respond positively and ensure the delivery of the food cargo to the Armenian-origin residents. Besides, we will conduct monitoring and evaluation by involving experts after certain technical issues are resolved and the safety of Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society employees is fully guaranteed. Then, what Armenians need will be determined, and evaluated and we will help them to meet those needs."
