U.S. Central Command has issued a statement on the latest strikes against Iran, APA reports.
“U.S. forces carried out another airstrike against Iran on Wednesday, just hours after President Donald Trump said the ceasefire between the two countries had ended,” says a statement posted on CENTCOM’s X account.
“At the direction of the Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Central Command forces began additional strikes against Iran to further degrade its ability to threaten freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The United States is holding Iran accountable for its recent unprovoked aggression against commercial shipping and civilian crews moving freely through the vital international waterway,” the statement said.
