"One of the most overlooked aspects of climate change is its impact on education," UNICEF Representative to Azerbaijan, Saja Farooq Abdullah, said during the 6th National Forum of Azerbaijani Children, organized in collaboration with the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
She noted that floods and unfavorable weather conditions limit children's education.
She also emphasized the importance of investing in the education of young girls at an early age.
The UNICEF Representative highlighted that events happening on our planet will greatly impact children's future: “88% of climate change-related diseases affect children under the age of five.”
