“The fight against the climate crisis is impossible without the technological and financial support of governments,” said Simon Stiell, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), in a video address during an event held as part of the “Baku Climate Action Week,” APA reports.
“We as organizations cannot do anything alone. Here, we require financial support from governments to utilize modern technologies. Governments must take important environmental measures and make long-term political decisions. I believe that this event in Baku is an important platform for building partnerships and delivering our message to governments,” Simon Stiell said.
