On April 25, the government of Türkiye held an award ceremony for the employees of the search and rescue teams who made special sacrifices during the removal of the consequences of the strong earthquake that occurred in the Republic of Türkiye on February 6 of this year, Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA.
President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan also participated in the ceremony held at the Bestepe National Congress And Culture Center.
Ensign Iskenderov Elvin, rescuer of the Special Risk Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who participated in the search and rescue operations in the brotherly country from the first day, according to the instruction of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, in order to eliminate the consequences of the strong earthquake that occurred in the Republic of Türkiye and to support the search and rescue operations, was awarded the State Medal of Supreme Sacrifice of the Republic of Türkiye.
