The remains of a martyr who went missing in the First Garabagh War and whose identity was determined 31 years later, have been buried in Azerbaijan’s Sheki, APA's Northwestern Bureau reports.
Shahid Sabir Mammadov, who went missing during the First Garabagh War, was buried in the cemetery of Orta Zayzid village in Sheki district, where he was born and raised. Shahid Mammadov's funeral ceremony was attended by the district administration, law enforcement officers, military personnel, representatives of the district's public, and the martyr's relatives.
It should be noted that Shahid Mammadov was born in 1974 in the village of Orta Zayzid, Sheki district. He went into active military service in December 1992. He went missing during the battles in the village of Mehmana, Aghdara district, in February 1993. Shahid Mammadov's remains were found during work carried out in the village of Mehmana, Aghdara district, after the end of the Patriotic War.
