“This is our sixth visit to Azerbaijan. The cooperation of MLI with ANAMA continues since 2005. Here, the US State Department has played the greatest role”, said the President and CEO of the Marshall Legacy Institute (MLI) of the US Mr. Perry Baltimore, APA reports.
MLI chair said that currently, representatives of the department attend here: “It is less than 48 hours that we are in Azerbaijan. Very great work has been done in this short time. As always, ANAMA employees are in the right place at the right time. They are doing all work that is needed”. We have gone to the Fuzuli region. Last time, we have been able to arrive in Fuzuli for a long time. But now, we have been taken on a very beautiful road. This became the most memorable part of the visit. We have encountered with the personnel who work with the dogs. Although the dogs have arrived 1-2 hours earlier than us, they were completely ready for the operation, I thank the specialist for this who cares of dogs”.
He noted that dogs have a very important role in the mine clearance: “Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to contribute to this difficult situation that Azerbaijan has faced. Our long-term cooperation was for today. Dogs have a very big role in mine detection. Dogs try to rescue people endangering their lives and bodies. So far, we have provided ANAMA with 40 dogs, and other world countries with 200 dogs. Our dogs did not explode even one mine so far”.
