US President Donald Trump has commented on the presidential elections in Brazil, APA reports.
The US leader described the elections in Brazil as a “major disgrace.”
“I don't want to comment, but I think these elections were a major disgrace for the Brazilian people,” Trump said in response to a journalist's question about whom he considered the legitimate winner of the elections in Brazil.
It should be noted that Lula da Silva, leader of the left-wing Workers' Party, won the second round of Brazil's presidential elections. His rival, right-wing opposition candidate Senator Flavio Bolsonaro, received 48.26% of the vote. Flavio Bolsonaro later traveled to the United States despite a court ban on leaving the country.
