A ceremony of signing a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the UN Mission in Azerbaijan and Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) has been held, APA reports.
The ceremony has been attended by delegations of both organizations.
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva has spoken about the importance of the Memorandum. She noted that the main purpose of the Memorandum is supporting human rights, rule of law, gender equality, prevention of discrimination, promotion of good management, strengthening cooperation with institutions of civil society, and promotion of awareness on human rights.
