In the 2020/2021 academic year, within the framework of Intergovernmental Scholarship Programs, 200 Azerbaijani citizens have got the right to study at 41 higher education institutions in 6 different countries, according to the report of the Cabinet of Ministers for 2021, APA reports.
These countries include the People's Republic of China, Hungary, Romania, the Russian Federation, Latvia, Turkiye. About 7,4 thousand foreign students study in 101 higher and secondary educational institutions of Azerbaijan.
Students are mainly from Turkiye, Iran, Georgia, Russia, Iraq, Nigeria, Syria, India, Pakistan, China, and other countries.
