The mother of Azerbaijan’s National Hero Panjali Teymurov, Mrs. Vahima, has sent a letter of gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
Mrs. Vahima expressed her appreciation to the head of state for conferring the title of National Hero upon her son.
The letter reads:
“To His Excellency Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief!
A letter of gratitude from Mrs. Vahima, mother of Panjali Nurmammad oglu Teymurov, National Hero of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
On my own behalf and on behalf of all members of our family, we express our deep gratitude and appreciation to You for awarding my son Panjali Teymurov the title of ‘National Hero of the Republic of Azerbaijan’ posthumously for the bravery he demonstrated in the April battles — an honor we had long awaited for nine years.
The care and attention You show to the families of martyrs is highly valued by our people.
May Allah never deprive us of Your presence.
We wish You long life and good health.”
Note that on November 7, 2025, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree awarding warrant officer Panjali Nurmammad oglu Teymurov the title of National Hero of Azerbaijan posthumously.
Warrant officer Panjali Teymurov, who served in the Special Forces, was martyred in the April battles of 2016.
