The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Azerbaijan celebrated International Women's Day with a beautiful video paying tribute to fifteen Azerbaijani women who made the difference, each in her field, throughout the recent history of the country, the Embassy told APA.
The selection process was difficult as Azerbaijan is particularly rich with women who contributed to building the nation. This is only normal for the first Islamic country to enfranchise women and give them the right to vote in 1918.
The video is intended not only for the Azerbaijani audience but more for the Moroccan and international followers to introduce these amazing women and their contribution to the world.
The video is accompanied and enhanced with a carefully selected piece from "The Seven Beauties" by Azerbaijani composer, Gara Garayev.
The Embassy adds that this day is an opportunity to underline that the role of women in all societies is equally important than that of men. This fact has to be kept in minds not only on March 8 but all year round.
