Meeting was held at Coordination Center in Hatay with participation of Deputy Minister of Azerbaijan's MES and Turkish Interior Minisrter-PHOTO

As reported, in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, a group of agile rescue forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the fraternal country was sent to the Hatay region today to eliminate the consequences of the strong earthquake that occurred in the Republic of Twrkiye and to support search and rescue operations, APA reports.

Deputy Minister of Emergencies Lieutenant General Etibar Mirzayev joined the meeting held with the participation of Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu at the Coordination Center for Emergency Situations located in Hatay. The meeting participants discussed the current situation in the Hatay region, which was seriously affected by the earthquake, the work to be done, as well as the directions of the search and rescue operations to be conducted in the region by the rescue forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, and relevant decisions were made.

Besides, the search and rescue operations of Azerbaijan's MES and the further steps were widely discussed in a one-on-one meeting with Deputy Minister of Interior Affairs İsmail Çataklı, head of the Hatay Emergency Coordination Center.

Turkish officials expressed their gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and the people of Azerbaijan for the support and assistance provided.
