Ukraine planned to launch a drone strike on one of the key elements of Moscow's air defense system, APA's Moscow bureau reports, citing the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).
It was reported that the FSB had prevented terrorist attacks against an energy facility and a key element of Moscow's missile defense system.
"Two individuals from the South Caucasus have been detained.
One of them was recruited by an officer of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and arrived in Russia on his instructions to prepare and carry out a terrorist attack. He also involved an acquaintance in the operation for this purpose.
The perpetrators then retrieved FPV drones and components of improvised explosive devices from hiding places in the Smolensk and Kaluga regions.
The suspects configured the attack UAVs and delivered them to a launch site in the Moscow region. The drones were intended to be remotely controlled from Ukraine," the FSB statement said.
