The decline in the cryptocurrency market continues. Price decreases have been recorded in most major digital assets over the past 24 hours, APA-Economics reports.
According to data from the CoinMarketCap platform, Bitcoin fell by 1.68% over the past 24 hours to $79,437.38. The cryptocurrency's price has decreased by 3.59% over the past 7 days and by 5.36% over the past 30 days. Bitcoin's market capitalization has fallen below $1.60 trillion.
Ethereum declined by 2.53% to $2,300.21, while BNB fell by 1.06% to $735.75. Zcash lost 2.43% of its value, falling to $1,181.69, while Monero dropped by 3.75% to $589.63.
Bittensor declined by 1.67% to $248.04, while Solana fell by 2.23% to $100.04. Meanwhile, Quant increased by 4.51% to $190.53.
Positive dynamics were observed in gold-backed cryptocurrencies. PAX Gold (PAXG) rose by 0.44% to $4,016.89, while Tether Gold (XAUT) increased by 0.40% to $4,006.98.
The CoinMarketCap 20 index declined by 1.58% over the past 24 hours to 161.21 points.
Analysts say the decline in the cryptocurrency market may be linked to investors' cautious approach toward risky assets and increasing selling pressure. The rise in the value of gold-backed digital assets amid falling prices of major cryptocurrencies may indicate growing interest in alternative investment options in the market.
