An informative briefing on the activities of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) was organized, APA reports.
Ilaha Huseynova, head of the public relations department of the ICRC's Azerbaijani representation, provided information on the organization's activities in the country and the work it has done.
Speaking about the ICRC's working principle, Ilaha Huseynova said that the organization does not go to conflict areas where security is not guaranteed, and that negotiations during meetings are not transferred to a third party.
Speaking later, Ahmad Zaroug, the coordinator of the ICRC's international humanitarian protection program, stressed the importance of holding these briefings with journalists.
He also noted that the ICRC has been operating in the country since 1992.
Speaking at the event, ICRC forensic expert Uyum Vehid provided information on the conduct of forensic work and its proper coverage in the media.
At the end of the event, a video clip about the activities of the ICRC was shown to journalists.
