“We may visit Karabakh, however, we should learn some issues,” Catherine Bomberger, CEO of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) told APA.
According to her, a protocol has been signed today and they try to help Azerbaijan in identifying the place of missing persons: “There are some issues that we should deeply learn them, and after identifying how we can help, we should carry out the certain works. Of course, if we will be appealed about any field, we are ready to cooperate in that field.”
Catherine Bomberger brought to attention that International Commission can appeal to Armenia for providing information to Azerbaijan about the places of graves of the missing persons: “We as an international Commission have taken such steps in other places of the world too. As well as, we, as a commission can exercise pressure on the countries and recommend so that they provide this information.”
Catherine Bomberger also lent clarity about the works they will conduct in Azerbaijan in the preliminary stage: “At the first stage we will investigate technical measures carried out by Azerbaijan. At the same time, steps in that field will be taken in Armenia. Then it will be determined which works may be conducted in that field.”
