Event dedicated to September 27 - Remembrance Day held in Azerbaijan's Lachin

On the occasion of September 27 – Remembrance Day, a large-scale event themed “Unforgettable Traces of the Victory Road” was held in the Lachin district, APA’s local bureau reports.

The event, organized by the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service in Lachin district, was attended by the heads of the district’s State Security Service, police department, Lachin District Central Hospital, “Lachin Improvement Service” LLC, representatives of management and enterprise collectives, families of martyrs, veterans, and district residents.

First, the Alley of Martyrs was visited.

At the memorial event, Masim Mammadov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Lachin district, delivered the opening speech.

During the official part of the event, first, the memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the dear memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our homeland were honored with a one-minute silence, followed by the playing of the State Anthem. At the end of the event, a commemorative feast was organized in the area called Seyrengah in Lachin in honor of the martyrs.

Throughout the day, families of the martyrs were also visited and gifts were presented to them.
