The Director for Public Prosecutions of the Republic of Kenya Renson Mulele Ingonga leads delegation on visit to Azerbaijan, Prosecutor General’s Office told APA.

On September 20, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev met with the delegation led by Renson Mulele Ingonga.

During the meeting, the Prosecutor General highlighted that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kenya has reached a high level, emphasizing that, thanks to the efforts of the heads of state of both countries, strong political ties based on common principles and collaboration are developing along an upward trajectory. He also underscored the dynamic development of relations between the two countries in various fields, including between the prosecutorial authorities.

Furthermore, touching upon the effective cooperation of the Azerbaijan Prosecutor’s Office with international and regional organizations, as well as with the prosecutorial and law enforcement authorities of other countries, the Prosecutor General spoke about intensifying legal dialogue and expanding cooperation in the field of experience exchange.

The Prosecutor General also expressed his satisfaction with participating in the 23rd Conference of Prosecutors General of the Commonwealth of Nations member states held in June of this year and extended his gratitude for the warm hospitality and cordial reception shown to the delegation during their official visit to the cities of Nairobi and Mombasa.

In his speech, The Director for Public Prosecutions of the Republic of Kenya Renson Ingonga recalled his official visits to Azerbaijan over the past year, highlighting the high-level organization of the 29th Annual Conference of the International Association of Prosecutors, as well as the plenary session dedicated to mobilizing law enforcement agencies in combating climate change within the framework of COP29. He congratulated the Azerbaijani state and the Prosecutor’s Office, noting that the institution he represents attaches great importance to developing relations with the Azerbaijan Prosecutor’s Office and expressing confidence in the expansion of cooperation between their institutions.

The meeting focused on issues such as the expansion of legal cooperation, implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in Baku in 2024, and exchange of knowledge and experience in combating crime.
