The delegation of the independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC IPHRC) visited the newly built Fuzuli International Airport, which is the air gate of Karabakh, in the liberated Fuzuli region, APA's Karabakh bureau reports.
The staff of the Ombudsman office and the delegation of the OIC IPHRC visited the newly built international airport in Fuzuli district.
The guests were given detailed information about the airport and its technical features. It was reported that all the work done here was carried out in accordance with international norms and standards. The airport receives planes from foreign countries.
After the liberation of Fuzuli from occupation, Fuzuli International Airport was built to meet modern requirements within 8 months, including demining. In addition, the guests were told that 3 international airports were built in the territories freed from occupation. 2 of them, Fuzuli and Zangilan international airports, have been commissioned. The final finishing works are being carried out at Lachin International Airport. It was reported that the reason for the delay in the work at the Lachin airport was the weather.
