"Azerbaijan will hold those who treat animals cruelly accountable," this is reflected in the proposed amendments to the law "On the Animal Kingdom," discussed at today's meeting of the Agrarian Policy Committee of the Milli Majlis, APA reports.
If people treat animals cruelly, meaning causing them pain, suffering, or torture, beating them or forcing them to fight, resulting in injury or death, or if such cruelty is displayed publicly, including in the media, promoted, or openly encouraged, and if materials depicting such cruelty are used for commercial purposes, those responsible will be held accountable in accordance with the law.
