According to the information given by the Working Group on Transport, Communications and High Technologies under the Interdepartmental Center of the Coordination Headquarters on the centralized solution of issues in the liberated territories established by the relevant Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, construction of an administrative building and a passenger platform at Kocharli and Tazakend stations on the reconstructed Barda-Agdam railway has started, APA-Economics reports, citing Azerbaijan Railways Closed Joint-Stock Company.
According to the order of President Ilham Aliyev dated November 24, 2020, the construction and installation of the Barda-Agdam railway began in early December 2020.
The axial length of the Barda-Aghdam railway line is 47.1 km. Construction of four stations, three bridges, one passerby, 23 crossways at the same level with automobile road, and in total, 127 artificial engineering devices is planned within the project.
