"In the second Garabagh War, the percentage of deaths of civilians among Armenians compared to soldiers is 2%," said Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), APA reports.
"50 Armenian civilians died in the second Garabagh War, while 98 Azerbaijani civilians were martyred. Azerbaijan's civilian loss is twice more. This is related to Armenia targeting the civilian population in Ganja and Barda. The death of Armenian soldiers is more, but if we take the minimum figures announced by them, about 4000 soldiers died. During the U.S. operations in Iraq, 16% of civilians died, while 24% died in Afghanistan. But here they are teaching us a lesson. If we take the Russian-Ukrainian war, maybe this number is more than 25%. Azerbaijan has been very sensitive in this matter," he noted.
