On October 23, under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, a meeting dedicated to the unstable weather conditions observed in recent days in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula with excessive precipitation, investigating and eliminating the consequences of intense rainfall, preventing such situations from occurring in the future, the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.
According to the report, heads of relevant institutions participated in the meeting.
Prime Minister Ali Asadov emphasized the existence of subjective reasons as well as the objective reason such as precipitation exceeding the norm, and said that the failure of the relevant infrastructure to work at full capacity resulted in a number of serious complications and losses.
It was brought to attention that necessary measures are being taken to restore the damaged infrastructure, the situation is being investigated and final decisions will be made after eliminating the consequences.
The solution of the most urgent technical issues, the issues related to the infrastructure of the city of Baku as a whole were discussed and relevant tasks were given.
The Prime Minister gave orders to accelerate the elimination of the consequences of the complications caused by weather conditions, to fully investigate and analyze the causes, to take short-term and long-term measures to prevent possible complications during such events in the future, and to take urgent steps to bring the relevant infrastructure to full readiness.
