The Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov, met with a delegation led by Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Boobek Ajikeev, who is on a visit to our country within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the Press Service of the Ministry told APA.
Warmly welcoming the guests, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov noted that the participation of the delegation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic in COP29, which our country successfully hosts under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, is highly appreciated.
The Minister emphasized that the cooperation between the Ministries of Emergency Situations of the two countries is developing steadily and that mutual visits and meetings made a significant contribution to the further expansion of these relations. He reminded with satisfaction the measures taken both bilaterally and within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States to protect the population and territories from emergencies and spoke about the issues ahead in this direction.
Expressing gratitude for the warm meeting, Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Boobek Ajaikeev emphasized that COP29 was organized at a high level and expressed satisfaction with participating in the event. The guest highlighted the importance of effectively using existing potential for the further development of bilateral relations between the two institutions and spoke about the work done to expand relations.
A broad exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest during the meeting.
