"Fifty percent of IDPs are women," APA reports that Assistant to the First Vice President Elchin Amirbayov said at a conference on "Women, Peace, and security: the role of women in post-conflict reconstruction" jointly organized by the Center for International Relations Analysis and the UN Office in Azerbaijan.

E. Amirbayov said that Azerbaijan successfully implements infrastructure projects: “We have faced serious challenges regarding the clearing the areas of mines. This work is underway with the support of the UN and other donors. ANAMA should clear 10,000 square kilometers of land with the help of other relevant agencies.

Assistant to the First Vice President noted that every war and conflict is different: “It is difficult to speak about all the issues from the standpoint of a single approach. Considering the new situation for women at the national level, a national action plan is being prepared.
