The state-building and law commission of the Armenian parliament reversed the draft law criminalizing Armenia's renunciation of Garabagh, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.
The draft law put forward by the opposition envisaged changes in the Criminal Code due to the denial of the right of Garabagh to self-determination.
Three members of the commission voted in favor of the bill, and eight voted against it.
Those who did not support the decision were members of the ruling "Civil Contract" party.
The pro-government MPs announced that the "Ayakve" initiative would seriously hinder the peace talks with Azerbaijan.
